At Least 1 Dead in Birmingham Apartment Fire
Birmingham, AL (WIAT) -
Rescue crews are on the scene of an apartment fire at 900 8th Avenue West. The address is near the Birmingham Southern College Campus.
Chief C.W. Mardis told CBS 42 that responders found one male victim on the 2nd floor of the apartment building. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
Birmingham Fire Department officials are investigating this as a possible case of arson.
