Local teens arrested in gunpoint robberies

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) Birmingham Police tell CBS42 that 17-year-old Dominique Jackson and a 15-year-old, are in custody in connection with three robbery investigations.

On April 13th, a citizen reported being robbed on Pearson Avenue Southwest. The two suspects took the victim’s Cadillac Deville at gunpoint.

The next day, a second victim reported being robbed on the same street. The victim stated he was robbed at gunpoint for his Ford Taurus.

A third victim also reported being robbed on Pearson Avenue. The victim stated two suspects took his Buick LeSabre at gunpoint.

On April 14th, Birmingham Police released information on the stolen Buick LeSabre to the Patrol Bureau through police communications. As the information was given, West Precinct Burglary Task Force members responded that they were travelling behind the vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the suspects were taken into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation, detectives found that the suspects were responsible for all three robberies.

All vehicles were recovered.
