It only takes a few minutes for the extreme heat to cause some major damage, even death, to your child. That's why the Alabama Department of Child Abuse Prevention is campaigning, as a reminder to never leave a child in the car, not even for a minute!  Director, Kelley Parris Barnes says, "This is a preventable death that we can keep our children safe and alive in Alabama."
