Montgomery, AL (WIAT) - Thursday marks day four of jury selection in the federal corruption and vote buying trial against Milton McGregor, several current and former state legislators and lobbyists.

The attorneys questioned 90 potential jurors and weeded out the ones they didn't feel could be un-bias, and while process and lasted much longer than expected. Harri Anne Smiths attorney, Jim Parkman and many others feel today is the day they will strike the jury.

One issue they are worried about is jury fatigue, Parkman says it will be the attorneys job to keep this case moving and entertaining, if they don't they are libel to lose the jury members attention, and that could greatly affect this case. Taking four days to strike a jury is also an indicator to the attorneys that this trial could go as long as four months.

Opening statements are expected to begin as early as this evening but the attorneys would prefer to start fresh Friday morning. There are still two motions the Judge Myron Thompson has to rule on, along with charge the jury before the attorneys will be allowed to begin opening statements.
