MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) - A jury pool of around 75 people were ordered to show up at the Montgomery Federal Courthouse on Monday.

Attorneys are looking for at least 12 impartial jurors and 4 alternates, a task they say shouldn't be difficult.

The jury pool is a mix of educators, engineers, insurance agents, Walmart employees, a few unemployed and even someone with the State Department of Revenue, a diverse pool that the attorneys feel will suffice.

To that extent, the jury pool was questioned about their ability to be unbiased, their connection to witnesses, attorneys and the 9 people on trial.

Attorneys also want to know if they have any connection to those who have already plead guilty like Jarrod Massey and Ronnie Gilley.

The jury selection is expected to take at least one more day, if not two more days.  Many of the attorneys feel finding the right people will be key to giving their clients a fair trail and they are not going to rush that process.
