Jefferson County Judge Scott Vowell has ordered the destruction of more than 180 seized electronic bingo machines.
The machines in question were removed from an assembly plant in northern Jefferson County more than a year ago.
Those machines were being assembled by the American Gaming Systems in Kimberly for use by bingo operations in Walker County. The decision comes after Jefferson County Judge Robert S. Vance ruled electronic bingo illegal in Walker County.
Judge Vowell also agreed that electronic bingo is not traditional card bingo. The seized machines must be destroyed within a two month period. Click on the link to read the judge's complete ruling.
