Witnesses were understandably shaken up and upset, after Lee Buong, a well known jewelry store owner, was killed in his jewelry store in Fairfield.  One local resident says, "I think it's a thug loose and we need to catch him and take him out of society, that's what needs to happen."  The 54 year old was shot once in the head and pronounced dead at University Hospital.  Chief Patrick Mardis, with the Fairfield Police Department says, "We are following up with several leads at this point. We are looking for 2 black males.  One black male is approxiatmately 6'2" tall wearing dark clothing. They are driving a black Nissan Maxima."
Chief Mardis says officers found the jewelry counter broken when they arrived on the scene, but it is not quite clear if anything was taken.

He and his wife were probably children in Vietnam during the war. They survived that horror only to be victims of the cold blooded killers who commited this crime. What would Dr. Martin Luther King say to US, Black citizens, about OUR tolerance of those among us who commit these crimes?

It very sad that someone would take a persons life. I had the pleasure of getting some jewerly fixed there on several occassions and both the owner and his spouse were very nice. When caught let the punishment fit the crime, a life for a life. Why should they get life in prison? It will only cost the tax payers more money.
