Witnesses were understandably shaken up and upset, after Lee Buong, a well known jewelry store owner, was killed in his jewelry store in Fairfield. One local resident says,
"I think it's a thug loose and we need to catch him and take him out of society, that's what needs to happen." The 54 year old was shot once in the head and pronounced dead at University Hospital. Chief Patrick Mardis, with the Fairfield Police Department says, "We are following up with several leads at this point. We are looking for 2 black males. One black male is approxiatmately 6'2" tall wearing dark clothing. They are driving a black Nissan Maxima."
Chief Mardis says officers found the jewelry counter broken when they arrived on the scene, but it is not quite clear if anything was taken.
