CBS 42's Ken Lass paid a surprise visit to the classroom of Hanceville Elementary School teacher Crystal Hood to present her with a $1,000 check as part of CBS 42's One Class at a Time project.
Miss Hood applied for the grant saying she needed a technology upgrade for her 5th grade students. She plans to buy a projector and accessories for it. Watch the video.
