TARRANT, Ala. (WIAT) - Good attendance paid off Monday for students at Tarrant Middle School. Six students now have new bikes thanks in part to their above average attendance.

The new wheels were donated by Stafford Hospitality-- a company that owns hotels in the area. They call the program BIKES (Building Incentives for Kids Education.)

"It's not always based on grades but attendance. Building attendance means they will take it on into the workforce," Sharon Parker with Stafford said.

The group has been giving away bikes every quarter for the past four years. They plan to keep it up.
