Hoover, Al (WIAT) The Hoover Board of Education met for the first time since Spain Park head football coach David Shores was placed on administrative leave after an incident involving a player in late August.

After spending hours in executive session Tuesday, the board emerged with no decision on whether or not Shores will be reinstated.

According to Shores, a student became physical with him during a practice drill on August 25th. Shores say's he did not retaliate and other coaches pulled the student away.

Discussion could continue at the board’s next meeting.
