JASPER, Ala. (WIAT) - Campaign signs are popping up all over our state as the alabama primary approaches. You'll find them on most street corners and throughout neighborhoods.
A lot of time and money goes into creating these image-makers. Jasper sign maker John Dutton says it's his job to make candidates signs stand out among the crowd.
He says candidates have spent anywhere from one thousand dollars all the way up to thirty thousand dollars on signs.
Dutton says campaign signs remain a simple grass roots effort, that has proven time and again to help get people elected.
Dutton is working on a number of local campaigns, he considers himself a bi-partison participant in the election process. It's starts at his computer, from colors, fonts to slogans, Dutton says every detail is debated before rolling out the final product.
