PINSON, Ala. (WIAT) - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is searching for the person who robbed a Pinson tanning salon.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the salon at 4514 Center Point Road. Police say the crook had a bandana covering his face. He never showed a weapon but kept his hand in his pocket. He's described as six foot tall-- about 180 pounds.

We received a call at about 11:00 am  about a robbery at Tan Avenue located at 4514 Centerpoint Road. The clerk told deputies that a white male wearing a red jacket and blue jeans had robbed the business and fled on foot. The suspect never displayed a weapon but kept his hand in his pocket. The suspect is described as 6”0” and about 180 lbs. He had a camouflage bandana over his face. He has not been captured.
