CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) — Officials in Center Point say two people are dead following a mobile home fire in unincorporated Jefferson County.
Center Point Assistant Fire Chief Donnie West says the mobile home caught fire around 2 a.m. Thursday.
West says the gender or the ages of the victims are not being released because family members have not been notified.
The cause of the blaze is not known. West says that when firefighters arrived they found flames coming from the back on the structure.
The Jefferson County fire marshal and the state fire marshal are investigating.
