ANNISTON, Ala. (WIAT) - A
nearly twenty -year-old "cold" case finally comes with some answers, and an arrest.Calhoun County deputies arrested Joseph Fair, in the murder of a convenience store clerk in 1993.
The county's cold case squad was working this case for 18 years.
There were many challenges like faded memories and dated evidence.
"In this case, the man knew details that only the person who committed the crime would know, and we even interviewed him several times, we even had him reenact the crime one time, so we are comfortable we have the right man," says Calhoun County sheriff Larry Amerson.
Fair is being held in the Calhoun County jail and is facing ten years to life.
