EUTAW, Ala. (WIAT) - Alabama's supreme court has stopped a judge's order for Attorney General Luther Strange to return electronic bingo machines seized from Greenetrack.
State police seized the machines on May 31st based on a search warrant issued by Circuit Judge Houston Brown. In August, Brown ruled that the attorney general lacked probable cause to seize the machines and ordered them returned. Alabama's attorney general promised an appeal and was granted the stay on Friday.
The facility had been expecting to get it's machines back over the weekend.
