Montgomery, AL (WIAT) - Milton McGregor Walked into federal court today all smiles as his attorney Joe Espy said "Milton McGregor is innocent we have been waiting for this day for many months."
Others charged in this case also walked in confident that they would beat the charges, today is just day one of the jury selection in the federal corruption vote buying case. Proceedings were scheduled to start at 9 am but the attorneys didn't get to start questioning the jury pool until after 10:30 this morning. The jury pool consists of an attorney, auto makers, insurance agents, walmart employees, teachers, someone with the postal service, a few unemployed people and even someone with the state department of internal revenue just to name a few. The attorneys spent the morning running through the whiteness list, naming attorneys, clients, anyone that could play a part in this trial.
