Jasper, Ala. (WIAT) - A group of elementary students in Jasper wanted to do something to help people struggling after the storms. They came up with a pretty neat idea too
Backpacks are normally used to house books, and school supplies, but the items inside these back packs are meant for bedtime...
3rd through 5th graders make up the k-kids group. A group that spearheads service oriented projects through Walker County. For them, doing their part for storm recovery, is a priority.
The k-kids are donating pajama's underwear, stuffed animals, crayons ... all stuff they've agreed might make bedtime a little easier.
The donations will then be given out to students in the Hackleburg community.
