Argo's mayor and city council met on Monday night to discuss option for new revenue streams. If they don't find something soon, they could lose their fire protection in as little as 10 days.
But the real bombshell came late in the meeting. Even after the vote to keep electronic bingo out of the city, it is likely to come on in anyway. According to the town's zoning director, the owner of the proposed bingo hall will change his property layout and build the bingo hall just outside the Argo city limits in St. Clair County.
