PRATT CITY, Ala. (WIAT) - The EF-4 tornado leveled much of Pratt City on April 27th, but the Birmingham neighborhood has been suffering for years.  Friday night at South Hampton Elementary School, nearly 150 people showed up to learn and share their ideas to make their hometown better.

Dozens of experts from across the country were on hand to chat in a small group setting to hear the concerns and ideas.

Getting people to return home to Pratt City is a big concern and some folks who have lived here all their lives say they need to bring in attractions like restaurants, or something as simple as a laundromat.

After listening to all the concerns and ideas, the engineers will meet Saturday morning to gather all the information collected and present it again on Monday night at South Hampton School.
