BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - On Sunday mornings at More Than Conquerors Faith Church, praise is what they do.  Celebrating 29 years of what Pastor Steve Green calls God's faithfulness.

Faithfulness member Lisa Taylor has seen in action after a choice she made 17 years ago landed her in a prison in Thailand.  She was convicted of smuggling drugs and sentenced to death.

At the time, Lisa thought the choice to transport drugs was her only way out of an abusive relationship and violent neighborhood.  More Than Conquerors Faith Church had been a spiritual refuge for her and despite her choice, she and her children attended services here on Birmingham's West Side.  When she was arrested, she reached out to Pastor Green.

Her story has been seen on Trinity Broadcast Network and will reach another audience through the National Geographic Channel in August.

Lisa shares her testimony with groups everywhere.  She says she tells people about the God of second chances and redemption.

More Than Conquerors Faith Church is hosting a private premier of the National Geographic program on Monday night.
