Want to have the CBS 42 Weather team broadcast live from your backyard?

Every Friday during our 5 and 6pm newscasts, CBS 42 will be at somebody's house, cooking up some food and talking weather. It could be your house! In order to be considered, fill out the form on this page. Also, read through these rules, and if you can follow them, you might be seeing Mark Prater or one of our other weather folks on your deck or patio in no time!

1. CBS 42 may need to be at your house at 2pm on the day of the Backyard Weather segment to set up. We may need to use power and facilities in your house. We promise not to break anything.
2. Anyone who is going to attend the party needs to be there by 4:30pm so that when we are live we don't hear your friends' awesome car stereo instead of Mark delivering the forecast.
3. CBS 42 will need to run cables and set up electrical equipment in your yard. Some of this equipment does not work well with sprinklers or pets- so you need to be able to put the pets out of the way and not water your lawn!
4. Mark (or Charles or David or Kalee) will be doing two weather forecasts- one during the 5pm show and one during the 6pm show. So it may be 7pm before we are done at your house.
5. In the event of severe weather or other breaking news, CBS42 reserves the right to cancel the live broadcasts...but we'll still deliver the food and make every effort to have you and your friends on TV in some fashion.
6. Click the link for the cumbersome but necessary legal waiver.
7. Signing up for this form means you will be considered. We will pick where we want to go next. Once you have signed up, you don't need to sign up again- we'll keep the entries.

If you are OK with those points, then what are you waiting for? Sign up!
