BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) - Four Jefferson County Schools will remain closed due to power outages:
-Adamsville Elementary
-Bottenfield Middle
-Grantswood Elementary
-Minor Community
*12 month employees for the four schools that are closed Wednesday are to report to work their at normal time.
*All other Jefferson County Schools will open at 9am on Wednesday.
*All school employees will report to the open schools at their normal times.
*The buses will run one hour late.
*No breakfast will be served.
The Birmingham City Schools WILL reopen Wednesday, Sept. 7.
The few schools that still do not have power are coming back on line. If any are still without electricity in the morning, an announcement will be made at 6 a.m., including an automated call that would go only to the families and employees of those schools.
