Shanisty Myers
Morning Anchor
Shanisty joined CBS 42 in August, 2008 as a reporter. Shanisty grew up in a suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in History.
Prior to moving to Birmingham, she worked as an Anchor/ Reporter at WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Shanisty covered a variety of stories, but says her most memorable one was seeing a soldier surprise his son at school.
When she’s not working, Shanisty enjoys spending time with her labs, Amelia and Olivia. Shanisty is also an avid sports fan, who’s always cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and her beloved Wildcats.
