I enjoy being part of Wake Up Alabama. I joined the crazy crew in January 2008. Try to watch us weekday mornings from 5 to 7. Now just in case you are interested in the Emily away from the station.
I’m from Ripley, Mississippi...believe it or not! I actually began working freelance at CBS 42 in March 2007 doing various duties in the newsroom before becoming a member of the CBS 42 family.
My first TV job was in Tupelo, Mississippi as a master control operator one week before graduating from the University of Mississippi. A promotion landed me in Commercial Production before I migrated to the News Department to report and co-anchor the 5pm weekday newscasts.
Later I moved on to other stations holding various positions such as a morning weekday anchor, general assignment reporter and producer.
Currently, my family lives in Alabaster. I have a very understanding husband, Stayce (he would have to be with my crazy schedule), three boys, Jordan, Stayce and Reese. Plus, two dogs Aries and Paloma.
Our family attends Liberty Baptist Church of Alabaster where we participate in several ministries. I enjoy speaking at events, volunteering, traveling, reading, and just plain old relaxing. If you have any story suggestions, ideas or requests, shoot me an email I would to hear from you!
