WIAT CBS 42 Birmingham has an opening for a full-time weather anchor/reporter. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, producing and presenting weather information for broadcast, the web and mobile. Candidates must have the ability to handle live emergency weather, possess the technological knowledge of weather forecast instruments/gear, good writing skills, excellent communication skills, and be a team player. This job requires a commitment to community involvement on behalf of the station.
Two years on-air experience plus AMS and NWA certification preferred. Familiarity with Baron's and WSI products is a plus. This position will include some reporting responsibilities.
